Grants for organisations
Eligibility
Local organisations
The Charity welcomes applications from organisations in Westminster or those outside the area that assist Westminster residents in need. Applications from such organisations are given priority and will be considered at Trustees' meetings throughout the year.
National organisations
Applications from national charities will be considered only if they can demonstrate that their service/project will benefit a significant number of needy Westminster residents and are judged to fit the Charity's eligibility criteria. If deemed to be eligible, applications will automatically be deferred to the last meeting of the year. Awards will be subject to availability of funds.
In all cases organisations must be registered charities.
Funding is available for the following areas:
- Addiction
- Children and youth
- Community
- The elderly
- Health and disability
- Homelessness
Grants are available for:
- Specific capital costs
- Revenue funding
- Specific project/service costs
The main criterion is that the project or service you seek funding for must aim to benefit a significant number of needy Westminster residents.
It is a requirement of the Charity that you enable one of our representatives to visit the activity/project and that you provide a report to confirm how the grant was used.
Please note: the Westminster Amalgamated Charity awards one-off grants only and does not award recurring grants. A fresh application will need to be submitted for each request.
